BREAST AUGMENTATION

Large and firm breasts increase women's self-confidence. Also  It creates freedom and confidence in choosing clothes. However, most women think that they do not have breasts of ideal size. Especially women with small breasts or no breasts feel inadequate and unhappy.

The most commonly used method for breast enlargement today is breast enlargement surgery with silicone prosthesis. The prostheses used are approved by the American Ministry of Health, guaranteed and do not require replacement. Silicone prostheses contain a memory gel, which we call smart gel. Even if the silicone very rarely bursts, is cut or punctured, its contents do not leak out.

People who have had a breast prosthesis implanted can become pregnant and breastfeed. The biggest advantage is that breasts can be enlarged to the desired size and form, and the result is permanent for many years. It would not be right to say that this or that size is ideal for a beautiful breast. Ideal breast size is a personal concept, it is a measurement related to a person's weight, height, shoulder and hip width. In addition, one's own opinions are also important in deciding on the ideal breast size. The best results are achieved with personalized planning. Listening to and understanding the person who will undergo breast augmentation surgery and deciding together with the person is the absolute way to get the best result.

Padded bras used to make breasts look larger do not look natural and can damage the existing breast structure. Instead of using these, it is necessary to turn to permanent solutions. For this reason, instead of making unhealthy choices, you can achieve the desired breast size with breast enlargement surgery.

Silicones Used in Breast Augmentation Surgery

  • Drop silicone (gives fullness to the lower part)

  • Round silicone (gives fullness to the upper part)

Although drop silicone prostheses are more similar to the breast shape, the upper part is narrower and the lower part is wider. Round prostheses have equal base diameters. The prosthesis selection should be made according to the patient's body structure.

         Surgery duration

Breast augmentation surgery average2 hours  continues. After this operation, which is performed under general anesthesia, patients are hosted in the hospital for 1 day. Edema and bruising begin to occur after the surgery, and after approximately 3 weeks, the bruising and then the edema disappear. Depending on the technique of the surgery, tiny scars remain in the submammary canal, nipple or armpit. Pain that occurs when the prosthesis is placed under the muscle, if needed, is reduced with the help of painkillers. You can return to your work and social life approximately 1 week after the surgery, although your work life may vary depending on the work you do.

             Things to consider before surgery

If you have any infection, this surgery should be postponed.  Never forget that the procedure to be performed is for aesthetic purposes. This surgery can be performed when your infection is gone and you regain your health. Smoking should be stopped 1 week before the surgery and smoking should be avoided for a minimum of 2 weeks after the surgery. Medicines such as aspirin should be stopped at least 1 week before blood thinning foods, but if you have to use these drugs due to another health problem, you should share this with your doctor.

You must bring your urine and blood tests with you on the morning of the surgery day.

          Preparation and Planning Stages

Before the surgery, your doctor will ask you for a breast ultrasound or  Requests mammography examination. You should inform your doctor if you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer. Operation planning and technique are determined individually for each patient. Factors such as skin structure, the patient's nutritional habits, the symmetry of the breasts and the patient's expectations are evaluated. The better the planning is done  The higher the chance of success of the operation will be. As a matter of fact, in order to establish a trust-based communication between the patient and the doctor, all questions in the patient's mind should be answered and their expectations should be evaluated. The surgery date is determined.

         After Surgery

Having a companion after the surgery will both relieve you psychologically and meet your needs more easily. After the surgery, you may have tiny tubes called drains in both breasts to prevent bleeding (hematoma). These can be removed the next day following the surgery or whenever your doctor deems appropriate. You can take a bath after approximately 3-4 days, and you do not need to have the stitches removed as they dissolve on their own. Your doctor will inform you if stitches need to be removed. You can be discharged 1 day after the surgery. Bruising and edema are normal and temporary. Special corset bras recommended by your doctor will be used to minimize edema. After the surgery, your breasts may seem very large at first, you need to be patient, they will reach the size you want as the edema decreases in about 3 weeks. Unless recommended by your doctor, you should stay away from sports and exercises and give your body time to heal. Follow your doctor's advice and do not skip your check-ups. Pay attention to your diet, stay away from smoking and alcohol.
